Addie was a daughter of James Norris Canterberry. She married Robert Sherwood Canterberry who was a son of George Frank Canterberry buried in Forrest Cemetery. There is much space near the grave of G.F. Canterberry in Section # 2, Block # 6, but no other markers are visible. Addie's obituary indicates she was brought to Gadsden for burial in Forrest Cemetery.


James Norris Canterberry and George Frank Canterberry were brothers....sons of Reddin Canterberry and Drucilla Cochran Canterberry. Addie and her husband, Robert, were first cousins. Robert was a physician. George Frank Canterberry was the father-in-law and also an uncle to Addie.

Addie and Robert had a daughter, Robbie Lillian Canterberry who married Oscar S. Parker. Oscar is also buried in Forrest Cemetery.

OBITUARY PUBLISHED IN THE GADSDEN TIMES, GADSDEN, ALABAMA
Mrs. Canterberry Has Passed Away

A telegram received by relatives this morning announces the death of Mrs. R. S. Canterberry which occurred at her home in Birmingham at one o'clock tis morning.
For the past two years the deceased has been suffering from consumption and it was known that she could not survive long; although her death was not anticipated at this time and came as a shock to her family.
Mrs. Canterberry was a former resident of Gadsden and was the daughter of J.N. Canterberry. She was thirty years of age and leaves a husband and two children to morn her loss.
The remains will be brought to Gadsden and interred in Forrest Cemetery.
