Now home with our Creator (damme Appe) after brief illness. During his Elementary School years, his family moved to the Fort Hall Reservation. After graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1983, he worked at Gay Mine for a number of years then did seasonal work at K & Q Farms until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing, working on "Blue" his '63 Chevy Nova he inherited from Bahvi Ferlin, barbecuing for family, and making traditional dishes. He was a Shoshone speaker and enrolled with Shoshone Bannock Tribe and Agai Dika Eastern Shoshone and of Northwest Band lineage Shoshone. Survived by son Julian L. Ariwite of Fort Hall, sisters Dathene, Sharene, Ariwite, Berva Baker Ariwite, all of Fort Hall, brother Pat Moriarty or Meridian, nieces Bree and Sydney Baker of Pocatello, nephew Maddox Baker also cousin brothers Daniel, Rod and Leo T. Ariwite and sisters Leona Taylor, Sandra Plenty Wounds and Lunita Ariwite; preceded by sister Donna L. Phelps, brother Ferlin Ariwite, nephew Tobias A. Ariwite, paternal grandparents Benjamin (Hattie) Ariwite, maternal grandparents William B. (Annie Elk) Edmo, uncles Colburn and Leo Ariwite and aunts Lillian, Sadie Elvina Ariwite. Services held Monday, March 29th at Hawker Funeral Home.
