Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Newell Puckett, of Waynesboro, who was born in Nelson County on March 11, 1882, were held at the Church of the Brethren, Sunday at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. D. B. Garber officiating, assisted by Rev. W. E. McGilvrey, of the Christian Church.
Burial was at Wintergreen Cemetery. Hymns were "Never Grow Old," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Blessed Assurance." At the grave hymns were "Sweet Bye and Bye," and "God Be With You."
Mrs. Puckett is survived by her husband, Eddie C. Puckett; and children, Mrs. Earl Booth, Mrs. Thomas Campbell and Mrs. Arnold Moses, all of Waynesboro; John Puckett, Earl Puckett, and Eugene Puckett, of Afton; Mrs. Max West, of Gordonsville; and Irwin Puckett, of Dundalk, Maryland. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Truslow, of Greenfield; her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Hermon Anderson, and Mrs. Dan Atkins, both of Afton; Mrs. James Kerby and Montague Truslow, both of Batesville; Richard Truslow, of Avon; Mrs. Robert Henderson, of Greenfield; Mrs. Lena Collins, of Charlottesville, and a number of grandchildren.
