Grace E. Barta

Two Creeks - Grace E. Barta, age 91, lifelong resident of Two Creeks, entered into eternal rest, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Meadow View Assisted Living Facility in Two Rivers.

Grace was born, May 19, 1929, in Two Creeks to the late Frank and Minnie (Zierzow) Retzlaff. She was a graduate of the Twin Elder State Graded and a 1946 graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. She married Alan Barta November 10, 1951 in Vesper, WI, and he preceded her in death February 19, 1998. She worked as a beautician for the Vanity Beauty Shop in Two Rivers for 40 years. She enjoyed driving tractor, putzing around in the yard, and enjoyed occasional visits to the casinos. She loved collecting cow "stuff". She was a member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills, where she played organ for 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Randy) Meyer, of Cato, and their children, Amy (Dustin) Meyer-Maertz, Gina (Mick) Payton, Adam Meyer; her late daughter, Kathy Jerovetz, and Kathy's daughter, Vicki (Mark) Sisel; her sons: Lee (Mary) Barta of Kewaunee, and their children, Brianne Barta, and Kelli Barta; Rick (Susan) Barta of Two Creeks, and their children: Steven (Kristalyn) Barta, Larissa (Korey) Schuett, Jeffrey (Sherry) Barta, Nicholas (Nicole) Barta, Chelsei (Matthew) Rodewald, Kindra (Jeffrey) Sisel, Jasmin (Jared) Martin, Anthony Barta and his fiancé, Ashley Loecher, Lincoln Barta and his special friend Mackenzie Tlachac; 24 great-grandchildren; and further survived by her nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, her husband, and her daughter, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Irene (Guddy) Kunstman, Ethel (Harvey) Lehrman, and Ruth (Bob) Rezba; and one brother, Ralph (Gladys) Retzlaff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills, with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating and assisted by Pastorial Minister, Christal Wavrunek. Relatives and friends may call after 9 A.M. Wednesday, at the church until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
