Daughter of Thomas Noland. She married William Bernard Banning on Jun. 7, 1893 in Los Angeles, California. They were the parents of Mary, Irene, Wayne, Robert, Teresa and William.

Wife of Former Captain in Fire Department Passes After Long Illness

Mrs. Delia Nolan Banning, 67 years of age, pioneer resident of Los Angeles and wife of Capt. William B. Banning, retired member of the Los Angeles Fire Department died late Friday night at the Queen of Angels Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Banning came here from Ireland in the 80's with her father, Thomas Nolan. She married Capt. Banning, who came here from Indiana nearly fifty years ago. Captain Banning was not related to Phineas Banning, Pioneer stagecoach operator.

Besides her widower Mrs. banning leaves three sons and three daughters.

A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Cunningham & O'Connor mortuary chapel, 1031 South Grand avenue. Funeral services will be conducted with a requiem mass at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Vincent's Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
