Norman Henry Johnson, age 80, longtime town of Mishicot resident, died peacefully at his home early Tuesday morning, March 30, 2021.

Norman was born in Brussels on March 13, 1941 to Milton (Mel) and Sarah (Delorit) Johnson. He attended Tornado Grade School and Brussels High School, graduating in 1959. On June 24, 1961 he married Judy Mohr (his classmate since first grade) at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood, WI. Norman was employed at Hamilton Mfg. in Two Rivers, Wall-Rich Construction, and Lakeshore Technical College. He was also a taxidermist, and a carpenter, and enjoyed his antique tractors. He also had a maple syrup business until his health caused him to slow down. Norman received an Honorary Life Membership in the Knights of Columbus, Holy Cross Council #4807; and also served as president of the Pleasant View Gun Club.

Norman and Judy enjoyed almost 60 years together, along with their children: David (JoAnn) Johnson of Mishicot, Kathryn (Greg) Kleckner of Two Rivers, and Patricia Guetschow of Mishicot. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Shana Kleckner of Larrabee; Kristina (Paul) Fencl, Dayna (Show) Vang, all of Manitowoc; Nathan (Erika) Johnson of Francis Creek, Nicole (Nick) Schaus of Two Rivers, and Hannah Guetschow of Cooperstown; five great-grandchildren: Gavin and Maci Johnson, Porter and Lydia Fencl, Bridget Schaus, and a sixth great-grandchild expected in Fall. Also surviving are his brothers: Raymond (Joanne) Johnson of Two Rivers, Richard (Robin) Johnson of Brussels, Joseph (Paula) Johnson of Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Gerald Simon of Sheboygan Falls; sister-in-law, Sue Johnson of Brussels; and other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sandra (Mel) Herman of Cleveland, TN, JoAnn (John) Neinas of Brussels, Steven (Shari) Mohr of Casco, and Mary Bouche of Brussels. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Emil and Odile Delorit; brothers, Milton and Robert; sisters: Janice (Roy) Rockwell, Rosemarie Rubens, and Bernice Simon; and brothers-in-law: Richard Mohr and Reggie Bouche.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, 18424 Tisch Mills Road, Denmark, WI 54208. Rev. Dennis Drury will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial, assisted by pastoral minister, Christal Wavrunek, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Monday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
