William Jasper Wright, a native of Hookstown, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, December 18, 1966 @ East Liverpool City Hospital after a long illness.

He was born March 14, 1883 in Hancock County, West Virginia, a son of the late David Conkle-Wright & Margaret Chase-Wright. He had resided in the vicinity virtually his entire life. He was employed at the former Continental Kilns Company in Chester, West Virginia, retiring in 1953. He attended the Pennsylvania Avenue Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, his wife, Mrs. Clara Edythe "Edith" Sinclair-Wright, whom he married March 29, 1903 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, precedes him in death. She died February 22, 1957.

He is survived by two sons, James E. Wright of East Liverpool & Donald G. Wright of Los Angeles, California; four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Humphrey, Mrs. Lilian Jackson, Mrs. Hilbert (Mura) Wright & Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Hughes, all of East Liverpool, 17 grandchidren, 2 great-grandchildren & one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held Tuesday December 20, 1966 at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Arthur Williams.

He was laid to rest in the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
