He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician for Phillip Morris in Louisville and was a member of Georgetown Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances, to whom he was married 65 years; his son, Doug and his daughter, Laurie Merk.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Bridges (Tim) of Lanesville; One brother, Daniel Tilford of Birmingham, AL;
Grandchildren, Evan Bridges (Jennifer), Ethan Bridges, Ian Bridges (Emma), Jacob Merk (Mary Kate), and Hannah Loran (Sean); Great Grandchildren, Josephine and Cooper Bridges and many Nieces and Nephews.
Louis requested not to have visitation or a funeral. A graveside memorial will be held at a later date in Wolfe Cemetery. Arrangements by Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home.
