born: May 12, 1892 at Big Stone Gap, Kentucky, full name Charles Burton Ford.

Charles Burton recieved his schooling in Big Stone Gap, Kentucky, where he was born. He served in the United States Cavalry as 2nd Lietuenant in Texas during the World War period. Following the Armistice he went to San Francsico, where he was associated in a baniking business until about 1920, when he left to come to Klamath Falls. Here he became president of the Perfection Dairy and took charge of milk distribution. In 1925 he homesteaded a ranch in Tulelake and remained for 10 years before selling out, and then, in 1936, purchaseing the New City Laundry in partnership with his wife. He was a member of the Klamath Lodge No. 1247, B.P.O. Elks, and Lions Club, both in Klamath Falls, and teh American Legion Post in Tulelake.

January 22, 1935 Charles Burton Ford and Ethel Leona Gibson were married. A daughter, Marlene S. Ford was born in Klamath Falls, on May 29, 1937.

Charles Burton Ford died an accidentl death in an automobile accident on August 4, 1939. He was 43 years of age.
