Judith A. Barnum, age 61 of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 in St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on October 30, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Harold Hofmann, Phoebe (Minard) Hofmann and stepmother, Mary Hofmann. Judith was the owner of Barnum Janitorial Services with her husband Paul Sr. Survivors include her husband, Paul Barnum Sr., her son, Paul Barnum Jr., her daughter, Madonna Barnum, her grandchildren, Zachary, Brian, Paul III, Solerika and Jessica, two sisters, Alice Miner and Rosemarie Shinaver, brother-in-laws, Charles Barnum, William Barnum, Buddy Barnum and Edward Miner, sister-in-laws, Dixie Barnum and Delores Gregory, nieces and nephews, Cindy, James, Christian, Kevin and Shannon, a very dear friend, Angie Staltaro, and other family and friends. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, March 9, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport with services at 1:30 PM. Interment in Mountain Grove, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 11:30 AM to services at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations may be made to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main St., Bridgeport CT 06606 in memory of Judith.
