Alan P. Adams, 72, of Glencoe, passed away Wednesday, April 7th, 2021. Visitation will be Sunday, April 11th, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Collier-Butler Funeral Home followed by a private burial at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services. Alan graduated from Gadsden High School in 1966, where he played the drums in the marching band; and afterwards went on to serve in the Army National Guard from 1967-1973. Following his basic training, he worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Gadsden from 1968-1976. Upon leaving Coca-Cola, Alan went to work for Praxair in 1976 until his retirement from the company in 2004. Alan enjoyed fishing and playing golf in his early years but will always be remembered for his passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football. Preceding him in death is his wife, Mary Adelle Pierce Adams; parents, L.C. and Eloise Adams; and brother, Dan L. Adams.
