Sherry Ann Achey, 73, of Danville PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 after a lengthy illness at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA. She was born December 23, 1947 in Bloomsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Marlin J. and Helen B. Zimmerman Vought.
She graduated from Danville Area High School in 1965.
She was married for 28 years to her devoted husband, Dennton Richard Achey, who survives. They were married June 20, 1993
Sherry was employed as a clerk for various private business in the Danville area, retiring in 2008.
She was a member of Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran Church Danville PA where she served as Sunday school teacher in her earlier years.
Sherry enjoyed gardening. She was deeply devoted to her family and especially loved being with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She is survived by one son, Larry E. Bohner, II and his wife Melissa of Danville PA and one daughter: Christine A. Beasley of Wheatland Indiana. Also surviving is one brother, Marlin "Butch" Vought and his wife Cindy of Bluffton SC and one sister, Nancy K. Leighow and her husband Rae of Danville PA. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Hunter Beasley and Cara and Larissa Bohner; several nieces and nephews.
