Mr. Burton moved to Orlando in 1923 and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a well-known and respected General Contractor since 1938 in Central Florida owning and operating the Burton Construction Co. He was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, Civitan Club, and the Country Club of Orlando.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes Mae; a son, John Arthur Burton, Orlando; daughters, Priscilla/Pat (Martin) Durtche, Apopka, Gaile (Ed) Thomas, Pittman, FL, Melissa Doyle, Mt. Dora, FL; grandchildren, Jake (Jennifer) Burton, Hunter & Jessica Doyle; great grandchildren, Jackson and Savannah Burton.
