Maxine Pearl Ussery Former Boise resident Maxine Pearl Ussery, 80, now of Gresham, Ore. died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 in Gresham. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise. Maxine was affectionately known as "Mackie". Mackie was born on March 22, 1927 in Baker, Ore. She was the daughter of Tecumseh and Pearl (Colson) Ussery. Mackie worked for 26 years at The American Linen Laundry, after this she worked at Preco until her retirement. She did personal care-giving for elderly people throughout her residency in Boise. She was a faithful member of Central Assembly of God church. In 1999 she and her older sister, Helen, relocated to Anchorage, Alaska to be near family, and in 2000 moved to Gresham to be near her sister, Donna. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening, and collecting recipes. Mackie is survived by Donna Whalen of Gresham, Ore., four nieces, and four nephews. There were four brothers and four sisters who preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society because she was a cancer survivor.
