Albert Deon Barton (called: Deon) was the second son of Vesta Jean (Neisius) Montgomery Barton.

He was the oldest son of her second husband Carl Milton Barton. His parents were married Aug. 4, 1940.

Four younger siblings followed. Gordon Ray Barton, Carl Gene Barton, Patricia "Patty" Ruth Barton, and Cinda Joy (Barton) McCabe.

He joined the Army with his little brother Gordon on Dec 9,1959 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
