Norman Dale Adkins, 66 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born on July 25, 1941 in Cauthron, Arkansas. He grew up in Fresno, California then moved to Madill where he attended High School. Norman later moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he worked for American Airlines for 28 years. He has lived the past 15 years in Madill. Norman enjoyed aviation and loved to travel. He was a gifted musician and could play many instruments. He also enjoyed camping and gun collecting. Norman will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Norman was preceeded in death by his parents, William Elton Adkins and Merle Nielsen.

He is survived by sons Mark Adkins, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Adkins, Moore Oklahoma; Daughters Lori Johnson, Pelzer, SOuth Carolina, Amy Billings and huband Cliffton Billings, El Reno, Oklahoma; 3 Grandchildren Jarren Johnson, Justin Johnson and Jessica Johnson, Pelzer South Carolina; A sister Carole Walden and husband Mark Davis, Dallas, Texas; Step-father John Nielsen, Fresno, Californina; Nieces Lynette Walden, Jackson Wyoming

Viewing will be at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 1 pm to 9 pm, Sunday, July 29, 2007 . Family hour will be from 5 pm to 6 pm. Funeral services will be Mon. July 30, 2007, 10 am. under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill.
