Thomas F. Finley passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born on October 14, 1928 in McKeesport, PA, he had recently celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by his large, loving family.

Tom met the love of his life, Doll, at a high school dance when they were both just 16 years old. They married April 15, 1950. Never ones to back down from a challenge, the couple had seven children, 17 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Tom and Doll have called Two Rivers home since 1973. Tom loved everything about his community. A man of deep and abiding faith, he was active in his church, St. Peter the Fisherman, playing many roles, including parish council, and serving at weekday masses.

A deep thinker and problem solver with a quick and effortless wit, Tom graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1950 with a degree in electrical engineering. He began his career with Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee in 1950 as an Assistant Engineer and worked his way up to General Plant Manager. Ever a loyal employee, he moved with the company to Pittsburgh in 1960 and then to Gadsden, AL, in 1967. Tom then took a job with Paragon Electric in Two Rivers in 1973 as the VP of Manufacturing and ended his career there as VP of International and Strategic Planning. The last 10 years of his career took him around the world, and he often traveled with his wife, his favorite person.

After retiring in 1990, Tom was an active volunteer working with SCORE, the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Meals on Wheels, and so many other roles that in 2005 he was acknowledged with a volunteer recognition award from the Manitowoc Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce. He never stopped serving his community, friends, and family.

He is survived by Florence (Doll) Finley, his beloved wife of 68 years, and his seven children: Timothy (Ellen) Finley, Thomas (Connie) Finley, Terrance (JB) Finley, Patricia (Dave) Grenell, Kathleen Lemberger, Mary Lauten, and Rebecca (Matt) Fleming. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Christopher Finley, Daniel Finley, Patrick Finley, Mary Margaret Finley, Matthew Finley, Katherine Finley, Laura Juárez, Jason Grenell, Kaitlin Brown, John Finley, Anna Lemberger, Emily Lauten, Margaret Lauten, Jamie Lauten, Megan Fleming, Jacob Fleming, and Joseph Fleming. He is survived by nine great-grandchildren: Tavi Juárez, Marisa Juárez, Anna Juárez, Stella Juárez, Cruz Juárez, Tucker Finley, Abigail Finley, Nathan Finley, and Lua Grenell.

Tom was preceded in death by Marie and James Finley, his parents, and Jim Finley and Julie Stricherz, his siblings.

Tom, Dad, PupPup-he has left a legacy and love that can never be matched.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers at a later date.
