Marie was the daughter of Robert Lee & Eula Chapman Starr. Eula died in 1927 in Kermit, Mingo County, WV. Robert & Eula's only child was Marie. After Eula's death, Robert Starr married Edna Stanley.
Mrs. Marie Adams, 67, of Rossmore, died Feb. 3, 1992, in Logan General Hospital after a short illness She was a homemaker and a member of Switzer Church of God. Surviving: daughters, Edna Crabtree of Columbus, Ohio, Connie and Tammy both at home; sons, Charles "Jabo" of Switzer, Richard "Rick" of Yuma; sisters, Jaunita Urban of Cartersville, Va. , June Caminitti of Gahanna, Ohio, Patsy Curry of Columbus; brothers, Robert Lee Starr Jr. of Minnesota, William Starr of Columbus, Carl Ray Starr of South Dakota; seven grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Slater-Gilliam Funeral Home, Switzer, with the Rev. Hugh Chase and the Rev. Ralph Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Godby.
