Sarah Peck was a daughter of Ebenezer Peck and Margaret Whitaker.

In 1776, she married Baptist minister Elhanan Winchester as his second wife. His first wife, Alice Rogers of Rowley, Massachusetts (m. 1769), had died in Fairfax County, Virginia in 1775.

Mother of two stillborn children.

Mrs. Sarah (Peck) Winchester was baptized as an adult at the Welsh Neck Baptist Church. She was received into membership on 4 May 1777.

She died soon afterward, "much lamented".

Mrs. Sarah (Peck) Winchester was a member of the old Welsh Neck Baptist Church, originally situated on the east bank of the Pee Dee River, where the now abandoned original cemetery was located (Old Welsh Neck Cemetery, also known as the gravesite of Abel Kolb). The former burial ground, situated in the woods, contains only a few remaining legible grave markers. The church was relocated in 1798.

Her death was recorded in the church register.
