Obituary - Saint Mary's Beacon (Leonardtown, Maryland), November 17, 1933:

MICHAEL R. STONE

Funeral services for Michael R. Stone, Jr., was conducted from Christ Church, La Plata at noon on Wednesday, November 15. He was the oldest son of Mrs. Bessie Gough Stone and the late Michael R. Stone, of Port Tobacco.

He is survived by his mother and the following sisters and brothers: Miss Margaret Graham Stone, teacher of the Margaret Brent High School at Helen, this county; Mrs. Eleanor Dent Hyde, of Washington; Miss Betty Stone, John Hoskins, Thomas and Robert Lee Stone, all at home.

The burial service was conducted by the Rev. Harry Howe Bogert, rector of Port Tobacco parish.

The faculty and students of La Plata High School, of which he was a senior, attended the funeral in a body. Eight of his schoolmates were pallbearers.
