Organized Crime Figure. In partnership with fellow gang leader Terry Druggan. The Druggan and Lake combine operated in an area known as The Valley situated west of the river near Halstead Ave and 14th and 15th streets. In 1919 operating in alliance with local gang chieftain Big Jim Colosimo and afterward in conjunction with the gangland territorial rights laid out by the Torrio Capone combine until prohibition ended their trade in the 1930s. After serving a prison term Lake moved to the Detroit suburb Birmingham where he invested his wealth in a local coal and ice manufacturing company later dieing of a heart attack in his home.
