"FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR ACCIDENT VICTIMS
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, December 30th, in the Hulbert I.O.O.F. Cemetery for Mr. Jesse Sylvester and Mrs. Maude Ella Boyd of Hulbert, who were killed instantly Tuesday, December 27, 1938, when an automobile driven by their son, Joe T. Boyd of Lawton, collided with a railroad locomotive at the eastern edge of Coweta.
Also injured in the accident was Mrs. Joe T. Boyd, her injuries sufficiently serious to necessitate hospitalization, yet not critical.
The younger Boyd, a soldier stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, who was driving the car, did not receive injuries sufficiently serious to even require medical attention.
