Melville G. Allemang, age 81 of Jamestown, OH went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born April 18, 1939 in Washington Court House, OH to Charles Hayes and Anna Laverne Allemang. Mel married Dorothy Allemang on April 18, 1959 in Dayton, OH.

Mel retired from General Motors after 30 plus years. He liked his motorcycles and his pets, including his Great Dane Annie. Mel was a jokester, picking on everybody and making them laugh, and knew no strangers. Mel loved garage sales and kept his yard neat. Mel was a family man who loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Melville is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Harrison; two sons, Melville Jr. and Michael Allemang; 11 grandchildren, Misty (Derek) Hartley, Morgan (Ben) Cooper, Michaela, Dalton and Dillon Harrison, Elizabeth, Travis, Brandon, Melville III, Dylan and Katie Allemang; numerous great grandchildren; his aunt, Margie Hyer; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy J. Allemang; and his parents.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Good Hope Cemetery, Washington Court House, OH.
