Agnes Bianchi Mangini of Wallingford, passed away at MidState Medical Center, Meriden on Thursday, April 15th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family just days before her 102nd birthday. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Albert J. Mangini. Agnes was born in Southington on April 21, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Emilio and Rose Trotta DiGiandomenico Bianchi. Agnes' greatest moments were when she was preparing great Italian meals for her family. Family meant everything to her, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One of her favorite pastimes was crocheting. She spent many hours creating beautiful afghans for her entire family. She once crocheted 40 baby afghans for the Yale NICU. She thought all babies needed brightness to make them content. Agnes is survived by her son Albert J. Mangini of Sunnyvale, CA, and her dedicated and devoted daughter Rosanne (Michael) DeFeo with whom she resided for 38 years in Wallingford. Loving grandmother of April Haren, Albert J. Mangini Jr. of CA, Michael (Holly) DeFeo, and Paul DeFeo. Beloved great-grandmother of Ronald, Amy, Lindsay, Jeffrey Haren, Alyssa, Devin, and Dylan DeFeo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews whom she loved very much. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Antonio (Alice) Trotta, Julius (Irvina) Trotta, Emilio (Fran) Bianchi, Domenic (Marion) Bianchi, Frankie Bianchi, Alice (David) Abraham, Bernadette Bianchi, and Florence (Francis) Santillo. Agnes will live in our hearts forever.
