Birdie Ree Campbell Williams was born March 12, 1958 to the union of Mose Alexander Campbell, Sr., and Bessie Mae Johnson Campbell in Jackson, Mississippi and was the youngest of five children. She united in holy matrimony with Bobby Charles Williams on April 9, 1979 in Jackson, Mississippi. Their union was blessed with three daughters.

Birdie accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age at Mt. Zion Church of Christ (Holiness) USA. There, she served as a choir member and supported the church faithfully. She contributed to numerous initiatives sponsored by the church.

Birdie received her education in the Jackson School System. While attending Westside School, she was the 1st Baseman on the softball team. As the years progressed, she graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1976. While at Forest Hill, she was a member of the Y-Teen Club and Bible Pep Club. She furthered her education at American College in Jackson, MS and became a Certified Nurse's Assistant.

After receiving her certification, caring for others became her passion. Birdie worked in skilled nursing facilities including Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center. Her career spilled over into caring for family members and others within the community.

In her leisure, Birdie enjoyed decorating and spending time with her family. She had a keen eye for interior design and made her home a space that was comfortable and cozy for her family and visitors. She loved to shop at home improvement and décor stores, always planning for her next renovation. She loved to travel and visit her family.

Birdie departed this life on Friday, June 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Mose A. Campbell, Sr.; mother, Bessie Mae Campbell Gardner; and sister-in-laws, Charlotte "Sue" Bennett and Darlene Williams.

Birdie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Bobby Williams (Jackson, MS); three daughters, Tina (Willie) Sanders (Brandon, MS); Sharell Campbell (Birmingham, AL), and Amisha "Shay" (Patrick) Wilkerson (Ridgeland, MS); five grandchildren, Chasity (Howard) Taylor (Pelham, AL); Patrick "P.J." Wilkerson, II (Ridgeland, MS), Katelyn Sanders (Brandon, MS), Payton Wilkerson (Ridgeland, MS), and Chancellor Sanders (Brandon, MS); two great-grand children, Jackson Taylor and Alexander Taylor (Pelham, AL); a loving dog/son, Hershey "Hersh" Williams; one aunt, Alberta Campbell Pinkston (Madison, MS); four siblings, Octavia C. Berry (Jackson, MS), Mose A. (Teresa) Campbell, Jr. (Jackson, MS), Mosetta (Joseph) Komperda (Parma Heights, OH), and Shelia (Charles) Strand (St. Augustine, FL); mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Sara Williams (Jackson, MS); three sister-in-laws, Eva Brazil (Jackson, MS), Stephanie Skipper (Byram, MS), and Debra (Leonard) Harris (Oak Grove, KY); two brother-in-laws, David Williams and Jeffrey Williams (Jackson, MS); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
