Mary Jane (nee Wallace) Condon Davey, 98, formerly of Wanatah, IN passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 in Michigan City, IN. She was born July 8, 1918 in Chicago, IL to Edward J. and Laura A. (Lawrence) Wallace. Mary was a 1937 graduate of Wanatah High School. She retired from Illinois Bell/AT&T, where she was a call investigator for 30 years. Mary was a past member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Wanatah and enjoyed knitting, walking her dogs, shopping, and going for drives. Throughout her life, Mary has lived in several places, including: Illinois, Florida, Michigan, and most recently Michigan City, IN. Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Lauth of New Buffalo, MI; nephews, Wayne and Charles Wallace; niece, Diane Rudin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William Richard Condon and Clark R. Davey; brother, Lawrence Wallace; and her aunts, who raised Mary following her mother's death from the flu, Amanda Rehder and Anna Keehn. After cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, private family services will be held, with burial of ashes at Salem Cemetery.
