Willie Wayne Davis Bolen was also known as "Silly Willie" by her late husband Jack Bolen and had changed her name to Betty Sue in 1955. She was the daughter of the late Alliene and Ira Wilson and the late Eddie Davis who passed away when she was a young child. She was born December 18, 1927 and passed peacefully in her sleep on July 13, 2019 at Yalobusha Nursing Center in Water Valley, MS.
Willie Wayne and Jack spent the majority of their years in Clarksdale, MS owning and operating Bolen's Electric Motors and now they're together again. She leaves her five children Patsy (Harold) Hannah, Pamela and the late Charles Ledbetter, Dwight (Alice) Bolen, Neicy (Lindsay) Reid, Debra Lane; 40 grand and great grandchildren with number 41 on the way. She also leaves her dear sister Mildred Young who cared for her until 2017 and innumerable nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Jack Stanley Bolen. She will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 17 at Riverside Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS with her nephew Lamar Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. and services at 2:00 P.M. Burial will immediate follow at Memorial Gardens in Clarksdale, MS with Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
