It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy J. (Sherman) Ostrander in the early hours of February 8th. She passed in peace under the care of hospice and the care facility she had been at for the past 3 years due to her advancing needs caused by dementia.

The family hopes that everyone will remember Nancy as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who cared for her family, was not afraid to speak her mind, loved to cook and got many of us a bit chubbier because of how good it tasted, her fiery spirit, her work ethic and her passion for life.

Nancy is preceded by: Henry F. Sherman and Thelma M (Giffey) Sherman (parents). Merle Ostrander (husband). Ted Sherman, Fred Sherman, Harold 'Jimmy' Sherman, Pete Prentice, and Janet Sherman (Siblings). Christine 'Trina' Ostrander & Merlette Ostrander (daughters).

Nancy Leaves behind: Myra (Sherman) Zwetz, Jack Sherman, Nola (Sherman) Sell, Harvey Sherman, Lyle Sherman, Dale Sherman (siblings). A bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Two sons (Jerrold & Jerry). And 5 grandchildren (Eric, Yvonne, Jonas, & Rachel Ostrander, and Rick Mischka).

The family has decided that due to the current situation caused by the pandemic that a small ceremony, remembrance, and blessing will occur later in the summer to be followed by breaking of bread with family & friends to enjoy each others company and take time to tell stories about our sister, mother, grandmother and friend that was Nancy.
