James F. Andrews, 85, of Waldron died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mr. Andrews was a former toolmaker at Hamilton Cosco, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Coon Hunters Association, American Kennel Club and the NRA. A 1939 graduate of Clifford High School, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.

Born Dec. 25, 1921, at St. Louis Crossing, he was the son of Ora and Mabel Jayne Andrews. He married Gladys Robertson in Edinburgh Nov. 21, 1941. She preceded him in death July 28, 2006.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope with Rev. Marvin Arnett officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Sidney Cemetery in Bartholomew County.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hope Food Bank, the Heritage Fund or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

He is survived by sons, James Martin Andrews of Columbus and Timothy Michael Andrews of New Jersey; grandchildren, Vici Bushey, Richard Andrews, Jamee Wyan and Rachael Andrews; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Samantha and Matthew; great-great-grandchildren, Carter James and Hannah; a brother, Howard Andrews of Columbus; sisters, Julia Cook, Helen Wallace, and Maxine Bumbalough, all of Columbus, and Lenora Hull of Hope; and his companion's children, Sylvia, Nancy, Patrick and Tom.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Homer Dale Andrews; an infant sister, Dorothy Ruth Andrews; a great-grandson, Joey Rose; and his companion, Madolyn Smith.

The funeral for James F. Andrews, 85, of Waldron was conducted Sunday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope with the Rev. Marvin Arnett officiating. Special memories were given by Mr. Andrews' son, Timothy Andrews. Organist was Jean Shull.

Burial was at Sidney Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bart Miller, Gary and Christopher Castor, Mike Foxworthy, Dale Tallent and Richard Andrews. Honorary pallbearer was Gabe Miller.
