Died at the home of her son, Douglass McPeek, 12 Dec 1913 Mrs. Mary J. Morris, at the age of 79 years 6 months and 4 days. Mrs. Morris was one of the early settlers of Oklahoma and has lived in Moore for a number of years. Mrs. Morris has been a faithful member of the Christian Church for a number of years.
She leaves one son, Douglass, McPeek, here, one daughter, Mrs. Dora Baker, in Wichita, KS, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Dora Frasher (Frazier) and Mrs. Irvin Jameson, whom she has cared for since their infancy. The relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends and acquaintances here.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church Saturday afternoon by Elder C. P. Kelly, and the remains were laid to rest in the Moore cemetery.
