Doloris Maxine (Alfred) Wiseman, 93 of Vienna, West Virginia peacefully passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born in Hurst, West Virginia on February 6, 1928. Doloris was a graduate of Sistersville High School.

Doloris was preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Delphia Alfred; her beloved husband of 45 years, George Swisher Wiseman; brothers Herbert, Dale, Gale, Herman, Harold, and Glen; sisters Brenice Brady, Bernice Alfred, and Vonice Brady; and daughter-in-law, Jana Nancarrow Wiseman.

Doloris is survived by her dear sister Annabelle Gorrell of Alma, WV; sons Steven Wiseman (Tina) of Charleston, WV and John Wiseman (Kim) of Cedar Mountain, NC; grandchildren Jessica Wiseman Carpenter of Aiken, SC, Noah Wiseman (Amanda) of Wintergreen, VA, Emily Moore (Jimmy) of Aiken, SC, and Cody Wiseman (Tiffany) of Pittsburgh, PA; great-grandchildren Jarred, Heather, Rebecca, Samantha, Aubrey, Hudson, and Porter.

Many nieces and nephews will dearly miss their "Aunt Dosie." Especially her great-niece Jenny Ferruso of Vienna with whom she talked daily.

Doloris was very proud of the life she and her husband had in Vienna, WV and the home they built in Dallison, WV. In addition, to making a home for her family, she was a retired employee of the U.S. Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt where she won many awards. She loved her church and her church family at St. John United Methodist Church in Vienna. Besides her family, some of her great joys in life were long weekends in Lewis County at the old homeplace, fishing, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and WVU football. Family and friends looked forward to her cooking at potluck dinners. Nobody could bake apple dumplings like she did.

Steve and John thank the staff at the Wyngate Senior Living Community for the love and care they gave their mother over the last 3 years. Doloris will also be missed by the many friends she made there.

Per her wishes, Doloris will be cremated and laid to rest in Vadis, WV alongside her husband at a later date.

A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends in the Parkersburg area at a later date.
