JULIA E. ABROTT Born December 12, 1906 on a Wheat Ranch in Birds Landing, Solano County. Family moved to Castro Valley to a Fruit Ranch on Castro Valley Blvd. Today Dino's Restaurant is located on the same property. Attended old Castro Valley Grammar School on Redwood Road, graduated with the Class of 1925 from Hayward Union High School and graduated with the Class of 1929 from the University of California, Berkeley. Survived by her nephew, Donald Workman of Napa and many relatives and friends. Married 60 years to Elvin R. Abrott, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1988. Elvin R. Abrott was the owner of the E.R. Abrott Plumbing and Heating Contracting business located on A Street in downtown Hayward at the same location his father had his Blacksmith Shop and the same property as the Family Home was located. Employed for 38 years at the main office of Del Monte Inc. in San Francisco. Member of the Eden Union Church of Christ, Life Member of the AAUW, member of the Hayward Area Historical Society. Mr. & Mrs. Abrott were members of the First Dance Club in Hayward. Private services were held. Donations may be made in memory of Elvin and Julia Abrott to the Hayward Rotary Club. Sorensen Bros.
