Although San Diego was her home, she had such fond memories of life up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was very proud of her Finnish heritage.
She loved baseball and was a season ticket holder for the Padres until her disease made it impossible for her to go to games anymore. She loved the Theatre, especially The Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park. She loved saling and would crew for my dad when he was still living. She was a friend to animals, not just cats and dogs, but all the wildlife that would make its way into our backyard from the canyon.
