James "Jim" Green was the son of Ben T. and Lula K. Pennington. He went through school at Webb-Swan Lake School in Webb, Miss. Jim and his brother Johnny rode the same school bus as my sister and I. Of course they were a few years older.
Jim was in WWII. He was captured by the Germans in the same battle in September 1942 that his younger brother Johnny was killed in. He came home and married Marinee Thomas, May 7, 1949, Sumner, Tallahatchie Co, Ms. They lived in Webb, Tallahatchie, Ms.
