Barbara was born in Pisgah, MD on April 25, 1931 to the late Charles R. Abell and Doris Grinder Abell.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, William Warren (Crank) Cranford; daughter, Peggy Cranford Durney; and brother, Robert Gordon Abell. She was preceded in death by brothers: Charles Leon; Gilbert Abell; and son-in-law, Wayne Bishop Durney.
Barbara was a graduate of LaPlata High School. She was a school bus driver for Compton Bus Service. She enjoyed gardening, houseplants, jigsaw puzzles, playing slot machines, and going to flea markets.
Viewing and services were held at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday, June 11. Interment: Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
