SHAFFER, Ann P. - Age 90 of Madison. July 1, 2005. A loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Richard Walter Shaffer Sr.; grandson, Walter Kevin Roach; brother, James S. Patrick, Jr. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Frances S. and Robert Mace; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Walter "Buddy" and Marcia Shaffer, Jr.; seven grandchildren, T. Anderson Roach, Jr., Sean Shaffer (Gina) Roach, Eric Park (Karen) Roach, Carol Ann Mace, Richard "Rick" Shaffer III, Deborah Shaffer Hollis and Joseph L. (Candy) Shaffer; ten great grandchildren, Richard W. Shaffer IV, Jennifer Bedwell, Leigh Ann Hardy, Frank Hardy, Dillon Hollis, Mindy Shaffer, Chelsey, Logan and Emily Roach; one great great grandchild, Kyndal Shaffer; brother-in-law, Claude W. Shaffer; nieces, nephews and many friends. An Avco retiree. She was a Member of City Road Chapel and the Hayes Sunday School Class. A Member of the Caring Partners; served as a volunteer at the Nashville Memorial Hospital; Member of the Women's Club of Nashville, M & M Society; and was also an avid bridge player. Visitation Wednesday from 11 a.m. til 12 noon at City Road Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison, TN. Funeral to follow at 12 noon with Dr. John Michael Jones and Rev. Donna Parramore officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and Great Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hayes Sunday School Class of City Road Chapel, Maybelle Carter Staff and Residents, Legion of Honor, Al Menah Shrine, Joe T. Mason, Luther McCauley, Jim Liles, Davis Patterson, William T. McHugh, Charlton Davis and the Royal Order of Jesters. Memorial contributions may be made to City Road Chapel United Methodist Church, 701 Gallatin Road, Madison, TN 37115 or to Shriner's Hospitals, Al Menah Shrine Center, P.O.
