This morning at 1:30 o'clock occurred the death of Mary, wife of Charles H Talcott of the Windsor Hotel. Her death was very sudden and unexpected and the announcement was doubly sorrowful on this account. Mrs Talcott's health had always been of the best and yesterday afternoon she was suddenly afflicted with hemorrhage and died from its effects. Mrs Talcott was the daughter of Andrew McAdam of Ava and was born in that town 35 years ago the 29th of last November. Eleven years ago in March she was wedded to Mr Talcott at Lynn Mass, and they immediately removed to Leyden where they resided until January 1893, when they came to Boonville to take charge of the Windsor Hotel. Besides her husband, Mrs Talcott leaves two brothers, John McAdam of West Troy and two sisters, Mrs Michael Zimmer and Miss Nancy McAdam of this village. The deceased was a woman of many virutes and admirable traits of character. She was possessed of a sweet and sunny temperament and made warm friends of all with whom she came in contact. In the social circle in which she moved she was greatly respected and esteemed and her husband and family have the sincerest sympathy of the community. Mr Talcott has been sorely afflicted, on year ago Sunday, his mother, Roxy Talcott, and brother, George Talcott, having perished in the flames that consumed the Talcott homestead. The funeral will occur Friday at 1 pm from the house and from the Talcottville M.E. Church at 3 pm. Wright Phelps and wife, relatives of Mr Talcott, left Kearney, Neb. this morning to be present at the funeral.
