During life he resided at his home with his fiancée [name omitted] of 6 years in Mary Esther Florida. He was preceded in death by his brothers Hugh Lane Alden and Harrison Preston II. Jerry grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a mechanic, truck driver, landscaper- amongst other trades. He completed USA training Academy, Inc. for the study, practice and operation of tractor-trailer trucks on the 22nd of August in 1986. He moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1999.
He was not outspoken, but if you knew him he had a saying, "Understanding is the best thang in the world." So understand that this battle was not his to fight. He did not lose this battle with cancer. He simply gave it to the Lord, but not before he broke a generational curse of alcoholism. He completed successfully the Addictions and Substance Abuse Program through the Bridgeway Center June 11th 2020. In which he was proud and never turned back. "Do not be afraid or discourage because of this vast army. The battle is not yours but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15.
Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memories his children [names omitted]. His siblings [names omitted]. As well a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
