Doris Lavern Huckert was born in Paolis, Oklahoma, on March 30, 1937. She passed away on May 1, 2021, in Canyon, Texas.
Doris grew up in Oklahoma and married Robert "Bob" Huckert on June 11, 1976, and moved to Hereford, Texas.
She lived a full life and touched many hearts through the various ministries she was a part of. Doris always embraced a servant's heart and spread the Word of God through her life, from leading church services to forming Hard-Line Ministries, which reached over 100 youth weekly.
Bob and Doris moved to Canyon, Texas, in 2015 to be closer to their grandkids. Doris was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Leroy Kennedy, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas. She is survived by her husband Bob Huckert, daughters, DRENDA and husband SHANE HERRICK of Kiowa, CO, Lisa and husband Jason Avent of Canyon. Doris was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on May 5, 2021 at Holley Funeral Home, 205 11th Street, Canyon, TX. A Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00PM on May 6, 2021 at Freedom Fellowship Church, 55 Hunsley Road, Canyon, TX. Burial to follow in West Side Cemetery in Hereford, TX.
