Betty J. Drake, 79, of Knoxville died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Knox County Nursing Home.
Betty was born April 21, 1928 in Clarinda to Ernest Leroy and May Etta Berringer Knott. She married Louis E. Woods on March 10, 1947. She then married Wendell H. Drake on November 7, 1966 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.
She is survived by four sons, Edwin (Bonnie) Woods, Dorance (Barb) Drake, Larry Drake and Sam (Kim) Drake; a daughter, Elaine (Robert) Morefield; a sister, Doris Lee Brown; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She worked at Wonder Bread for 14 ½ years, retiring in 1984.
Services will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
