Mr. Alan E. Schaffer, age 57, of Lakeland, Fl died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Palm Terrace Hospice. He was born in Sagrates, NY on June 29, 1948 and came to Lakeland from Springfield, MO. He was a construction foreman for Blackfoot Resource Group.
Mr. Schaffer is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Schaffer; sons, Alan E. Schaffer, Jr., Anthony "A.J." Schaffer, both of Lakeland; daughter, Cheryl L. Meade, Lakeland; brothers, Carl Summers, Bolivar, MO; Michael Summers, Springfield, MO; sisters, Peggy Gerkin, Kathy Summers, Brenda Coday, Caroline Summers, Judy Rothermel, all of Springfield, MO; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. December 1, 2005 at Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
