Caroline Matilda Weatherford was the oldest daughter of John "Jack" Weatherford and Martha "Patty" Dyer and was born in 1817 in Claiborne, Monroe Co, Alabama Territory. Her father and William "Chief Red Eagle" Weatherford were brothers. Caroline was raised in Monroe Co, AL and was one of 4 children. She married Esaw Killam of Virginia on July 18, 1833. They were very prolific and had 13 children.
