Wife of Robert Russell Rogers Sr. and mother of Robert Russell Rogers Jr., Nancy Rogers Miller, and Eric C. Rogers. In high school, she was active in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Senior Chorus, Future Homemakers of America, and was a homeroom officer. As a Junior, she served as prom chairman and had a role in the Junior Class play. Her poise and public-speaking ability were evidenced by Suzanne being a finalist in the "I Speak For Democracy" contest. She was a member of the Morrison Memorial Methodist Church in her youth and was an officer of the Youth Fellowship.
