Nancy Bertram Bush, 73, Glasgow, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born September 8, 1934 to Haskell and Mercedes Bertram. Mrs. Bush was a retired teacher of the Glasgow Independent School System. After her retirement, she was an active volunteer at the Museum of the Barrens and enjoyed many countless hours researching family history. A life-long member of the First Christian Church of Glasgow, she was actively involved in the church choir and was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Reid Bush; five children, Sue (Joe) Muse, Mike (Karen) Bush, and Kay Bush all of Glasgow, Steve (Wendy) Bush of Rineyville, and Lesley (Todd) Cagle of Franklin; nine grandchildren, Brian Muse, Ashley (Derek) Moore, Drew Tuck, Seth Bush, Abby Tuck, Jacob Bush, Allyson Spears, Patrick Spears and Megan Spears; two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Lindsey Moore; one brother, Hack (Lillian) Bertram of Glasgow; three sisters-in-law, Mary Bush of Glasgow, Reba Bush of Franklin and Velma Bush of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at the First Christian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Museum of the Barrens or the First Christian Church.
