Rita was a long time resident of the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. She worked for thirty years for Atlantic Richfield in accounts receivable. She was married to her first love Bob from 1940 until his death in 1988 and had a second chance at love with George Georgio until his passing in 2003. After retirement Rita studied botany and became a guide at Morris Arboretum. Once walking become difficult she volunteered for Hospice. Rita enjoyed trips to Long Beach Island, NJ, camping in New England, traveling to Greece and Europe, and planting in her garden.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Avenue, Ardsley, PA 19038. Her graveside service will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Lawrence F. Crehan from Queen of Peace Church.
