Beverly Jean Laurent, age 82, of Weyauwega, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side on Monday, May 10, 2021. Beverly was born in Stevens Point on October 5, 1938, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alice (Frasch) Wallace. After Graduating from P.J. Jacobs in Stevens Point, she attended 1 year of nursing school at St. Josephs in Marshfield. She left school to start and raise her family. Later in her life, Beverly was owner and operator of Spud City Pub "Bugsy's" in Plover, with her late husband Edward Stroik. She then retired to live on the lake in Weyauwega with her late husband Edward Laurent. Beverly enjoyed going to the casino, doing scratch offs, reading quietly and watching birds, especially Hummingbirds and Cardinals. She loved flowers, most certainly roses.

Beverly is survived by her children: Michael (Kelly) Eckelstafer, Donald (Cindy) Eckelstafer, Darryl Eckelstafer, Denise (Keith) Friebel; grandchildren: Alecia, Josh, Eric, Nikole, Kori Jo, Lonnie, Chrystal, Jeremy, Amber, Holli; 21 great-grandchildren; former husband Larry Eckelstafer and special friend, Jack.

Besides her parents and husbands, Beverly was preceded in death by infant son Joey; stepson Lee Laurent; and granddaughter Brandi Eckelstafer.

A Memorial Service for Beverly will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center of Weyauwega with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
