Dorothy Creel Bennett was born Oct 9, 1924, in Fort Worth and was a longtime resident. Her family descended from the Austin Colony, which comprised the original 300 families to settle in Texas.
Survivors: Husband Norman W. Bennett of Keller; daughters and son-in-law Diane and Steve Estill of Fort Worth and Barbara Fisher of Arlington sisters; Inez Paire of Richland Hills and Elaine Ferguson of Tahlequah, Okla.; grandchildren, Stacie Callahan, Lauren Wren, Ryan Fisher, Chad Estill, and Adrienne Fisher; and three great-granddaughters, Lindsay Callahan, Laura Callahan, and Halley Wren.
