Rochelle Renee "Roch" Across The Mountain (First Charger)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rochelle who passed away in her home surrounded by family on March 18, 2021 on the Blood Reserve at the age of 39 years.

She is survived by her parents Ronnie and Debrah First Charger, son Delray and sisters Trisha and Kelsey Across The Mountain, 5 nieces, 6 nephews, grandmother Clothilda First Charger, aunties Gayle, Suzanne, Roxanne First Charger, Brenda, Carmen, Rosebell (Delorie) Bare Shin Bone, Noreen (Emil) Black Plume, Vivan (Clark) Left Hand, Christine Delorme, Shirley Chief Moon, Uncles Ivan, Murray First Charger, Richard, Patrick Coal, Lorie, Norbert, James, and Joe Across the Mountain, Patrick (Sylvia) Bare Shin Bone, Bruce Bare Shin Bone, Jimmy (Melinda) Chief Moon, Mathew (Maryanne) Chief Moon.

Rochelle was born in Cardston on August 31, 1981. She received her education in Levern and Coaldale, then moved to Calgary for a number of years where she worked various jobs and McDonalds before she moved back to the reserve. She also worked at Dairy Queen in Cardston. As a child, Rochelle was adopted by her aunt Brenda Bare Shin Bone and her godfather Bruce Bare Shin Bone. They spoiled her by getting Rochelle whatever she wanted. Rochelle enjoyed being around family and hanging out with cousins.

She liked sports and playing volleyball. She enjoyed reading books and the bible and would always talk about what she read in the bible. She was a happy go lucky girl and was the happiest when she received her baby boy Delray whom she loves and cherishes dearly. Rochelle will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

She comes from a long lineage of family members. Roch was predeceased by her niece Olivia, Sister Vivian Crane Chief, nephews, Daniel and Romell Crane Chief, Grandparents Frank and Isabell Cole, Grandmother Dora First Charger, Uncle Lloyd First Charger, Grandparents Paul, Mary Stella Bare Shin Bone, Aunt Edna Bare Shin Bone. Family apologizes for any names we may have missed

A candle light vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at 6:00 pm at Ronnie & Debra First Chargers home.
