Pearl Eldridge died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Homme Home in Wittenberg under the care of Aspirus Hospice. She was 92 years old.

She was born October 7, 1924 in White Lake, daughter of the late William and Minnie (Bair) Cline. She married Romeo Eldridge on June 10, 1939 in Forest County, WI. They had been married 73 years when Romeo preceded her in death on September 22, 2012.

Pearl was a homemaker, raising her family in Illinois and Indiana before returning to Langlade County. She also worked in area potato farms, a candy factory, and a canning factory.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she was especially fond of feeding them. Her family will always remember her wonderful baking and cooking. She also loved working in her flowers and canning.

She loved God and her church, and was a longtime member of Four Corners Assembly of God. She was active in the Four Corners Ladies Auxiliary and worked in the church nursery for many years.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Beverly (Joe) Guithues of Antigo, Ruth (Jim) Brown of Kenosha, Darlene Balli (Al Quadraccia) of Racine, and Julaine (Mike) Messer of Antigo; 3 sons, Bill (Cherie) Eldridge of Pearson, John (Linda) Eldridge of Ventura, CA, and Dale (Doreen) Eldridge of Kenosha; 28 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by infant son Lyle Eldridge; son, Jerry Eldridge; 2 grandsons, James Chism, and Luke Eldridge; son-in-law, Noe Balli; 4 brothers; and 9 sisters.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
