Frances Marie (Worden) Bashore
Frances Marie Bashore, of Ashley, age 73, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Ashley Care Center.
Frances was born September 2, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to Frank and Helen (Belill) Worden. Her early years were spent in Birch Run, Michigan. Upon the death of her mother, the family moved to Ovid and resided there for many years. Frances was a resident of Ashley, Michigan for the last 20 years. She attended Ovid High School. On December 9, 1972 she married Galen W. Bashore and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1989. Frances then had a life partner, Charles Hindall, and he preceded her in death in 2007. She worked for several places over the years, including the Bannister Bar, Ashley Café, and Mary's Country Kitchen. Frances loved to get her hair done, lottery tickets, and family dinners. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughter, Kimberly Monahan; Grandchildren, Justin (Taylor Campbell) Monahan, Dominick Salazar; Great Grandchildren, Ava Monahan, James Monahan, and Nora Monahan; Step-children Gayla (Jim) Clock, Bill (Barb) Bashore, Pam (Robert) Davis, Deb Reed, Penny (Dale) Kelley, Bob (Tina) Hindall, Linda (Dave) Grover, Denise Uribe, Sheila (Don) Hier; Sister, Diana Newman; Nieces, Lisa (Charles) Whisman, Kelli (Joe Porubsky) Janes, Theresa (Frank) Thompson, Kathi (William) Wycoff, Melvia (Frank) Quine; her granddogs, Charlie and Dexter; and her "buddy," Ken Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband Galen, Life Partner Charles; Step-Daughters, Sandy Kelley and Bonnie Sperling; Siblings Helen Worden, Pat Janes, Irma Worden, Frank Worden; Step-Mother, Mildred Worden; Nephews, Frank Worden and Paul Janes; and her beloved dog, Katie.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Church of the Living Word, 1100 N. Ovid Rd., Ovid, MI. Thomas Bradley officiated. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
